A few days after my lighthearted post the Truth About Buddha, I was strongly led to some eye opening realizations. This video popped up on my youtube feed in which this Buddhist monk dies, goes to hell and sees Buddha there burning in the lake of fire.

It's as though God was saying you're on the right track but there's SO much more to the story. I've always wanted to believe that Buddha was innocent in his search for truth. I've always had an affinity for Eastern thought and considered the conscientious, ethical and non violent lifestyle of so many people who practice Eastern traditions to be worth something of value. I've wondered (as many before me) what DOES God do about good people who don't accept Christ? And what about everyone who lived and died before Christ? These things still aren't entirely clear, but if Buddha is in fact in hell, we have some major clues. I am learning everyday that God is more serious, more black and white than I'd ever imagined. Just when I think "oh, God's probably cool with this or that" he shows me otherwise. Here in the West we've been conditioned by our Godless society. I look at my facebook feed and I'm just blown away that there can be so many serious and terrible things happening in the world and people are still living in their superficial bubbles thinking all is well and right with the world. Unwilling to consider God. Not wanting to consider God. Completely ignoring God. Sometimes I wonder if there's any hope for mankind. People just want to fight, argue and rebel against everything. If I say yes, you say NO! Like clockwork. I want to give up, say it's a lost cause, and in this moment I feel how God must feel. Yet he continues on... and on.
